Giving something back
In line with corporate responsibility and the Big Society,
we do our bit for the community, whilst

Charities
Our biggest contribution by far was the sponsored 24 hour non-stop Foxtrot in August of 2010 (pictured above). This was held in aid of East Anglian Children's Hospice Treehouse Appeal for building a new Children's Hospice for Suffolk and North Essex.
It was a huge success and we raised just over £3,000 as a result of it.
Each year for the last couple of years we have run a Fantasy Strictly competition - a bit like a Fantasy Football League but based on Strictly Come Dancing heat results. So far we have raised nearly £700 from the two years we have been running it, which has gone to the British Heart Foundation.
On top of these we run other spontaneous fun things, eg the Comic Relief Wordathon where dancers had to nominate words to built into our teaching for an evening. This raised over £100.
Local Community
On a daily basis we read and hear about the threats to community life, with post offices and pubs closing, schools and bus services being under threat.
Whilst we don't have a magic wand to stop this happening, as a business we do all we can to try and support the local community by basing our classes in local village halls and community centres.
By bringing what we do the heart of the community, rather than expecting the community to travel to us, we believe we are helping to sustain village life.
Out of interest, the amount of money we put into communities through village and community hall hire in the year to March 2011 was over £12,000.
